Aven Odhner joined the Prince George’s County Police Department in November of 2012. After spending just under four years on patrol, she joined the Technical Operations Unit in 2016. Once there, her career focused on cell phone forensics, particularly cell phone extractions and cell phone mapping. Det. Odhner became a Subject Matter Expert in Cell Phone Forensics and Technology in 2017. She has testified in over 45 Circuit Court cases as an expert, as well as consulted and prepared reports for hundreds of other cases in Prince George’s County, surrounding counties, and federal jurisdictions. She regularly trains and teaches other experts, law enforcement, attorneys, and judges in the field of cell phone forensics.
